Yuri Perez - Managing Director
Yuri Perez - Managing Director
Yuri is a Petroleum Geologist, with 23 years of experience in the industry. He worked as a Petroleum Geologist at the Cuban Oil Research Centre for seven years (2002–2009) before being seconded to the Namibian Ministry of Mines and Energy under the bilateral agreement between Namibia and Cuba. His professional expertise comprises hydrocarbon potential assessment (conventional and non-conventional), petroleum exploration and evaluation (onshore & offshore), basin analysis, petroleum systems analysis, structural geology, geostatistics, multivariate statistics, and geological modelling. Yuri has a BS. Degree in Engineering and Mining from the Metallurgic Institute of Moa, Cuba (2000) and a MSc. Degree in Petroleum Geology from University of Pinar Del Rio, Cuba (2008).
Raydel Toirac - Director
Raydel Toirac - Director
Toirac is an exploration geologist with 20 years of experience in Petroleum Exploration both onshore and offshore. He worked for ten years at the Cuban National Oil Company (CUPET, 2005–2015) and between 2012 and 2014 served as advisor on Petroleum Exploration for the Namibian Ministry of Mines and Energy. Toirac’s expertise is in seismic interpretation, basin analysis, petroleum systems analysis, geological modelling, prospects evaluation and drilling operations. He has worked as a Wellsite Geologist and Operations Geologist in several drilling campaigns. Toirac also played an active role in the Oil licensing process in Namibia, participating in more than 30 negotiations with local and international companies. He completed his formal education with a BS Degree in Geology from the University of Pinar del Rio, Cuba (2005).

Margarett Amatheus - Director
Margarett has gathered strong skills over the last 22 years’ in the Administration and HR field with an extensive exposure in Logistics Operations. She joined the Pioneer group in 2011. She was previously employed by a Danish Organization for 9 years as the Senior Interface for Angola, Namibia and South Africa. The exposure, experience and unique challenges have enabled her to manage the office efficiently. She comes equipped with a qualification in Administrative Office Technology and currently enrolled for a Management Diploma at the Southern Business School.
